Early days
I started off, like many, painting in classical styles. I no longer do much of it as it seems to restrict me when I try to portray ideas in ways that leave no room for interpretation. The training I received and the hours spent have given me the skills and techniques to make a success of my abstract painting.
And some nude studies as well, many were self portraits, the colours reflect, in part, my mood at the time I was painting them.
This carried over into my later commercial painting of tourist ornaments.
I find landscapes always have a calming influence on me while I paint them, I start them for relaxation and occasionally take some time to finish them.
Most of my paintings from this era have been sold and I only have a few left to remind me of the journey I made in my quest for perfection, I no longer have picture records of the large bulk of those that have been sold. A few are still available for sale. Have a look at the investment page for some more information if you are interested in purchasing any.
