Abstract style painting
I have been practising and studying abstract painting styles and techniques for a number of years. It has become a passion for me to render ideas onto canvas that will allow multiple interpretations. Not just one per person but some people will see many ideas in a painting, even simultaneously, that may change with time and they might have nothing to do with the ideas I had in mind at the time I made the painting.
I am still testing various techniques and looking for new ones in an effort to find the best means to express myself, this shows in the variability of styles in my works to date. I have made similar paintings to some of those that have sold well, as well as making commissioned paintings in corporate colours in existing styles, as well as some that are intended to complement specific decor. I was asked to quote on a series of panels for a suite of offices that would have a theme across all the paintings. If you have any questions let me know and I will answer to the best of my ability.
These are mostly oils on canvas, with a bit of mixed media and pastels. Sizes indicated when available. The images on the web site are also of a variable quality as I am still experimenting with methods of recording them digitally that would do them justice, the textures and metallic effects are rather poorly represented. The thumbnails are square but most of the images are not, the web developer has selected an arbitrary point of interest for the thumbnail images.
The captions are just pet names I give to the pieces when I photograph them, they are not intended to restrict your interpretation. Clients have been known to rename on occasion.
Some of the recent works are not included here yet. Regrettably some of the earlier abstract works that have been sold are not recorded.
Many of these paintings are available for sale, I may even add some prices as I set them. Have a look at the investment page for some more information on purchasing any of my art, or contact me with any questions.
